Biblioteca Italiana is a digital library of Italian literature with over 3500 texts, which range from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century.

BIBIT - Born from the original project directed by Amedeo Quondam and started in 2003, Bibit has now become the central section of the Italian Library. A digital library of more than 1600 works in text format, in full edition, based on reference scientific editions, coded in XML / TEI and all freely accessible, downloadable and searchable.

WRITERS OF ITALY - It is the digital reproduction of the homonymous text series, founded in 1910 by the publisher Laterza di Bari, under the direction of Benedetto Croce: 287 volumes containing 179 works, for a total of 125,171 text-images. The project, conceived and directed by Amedeo Quondam and coordinated by Gianfranco Crupi, was created by the Department of Italian Studies and Entertainment, on behalf of the Steering Committee of the Italian Digital Library (BDI). All images are freely available thanks to the Laterza Editor who granted the rights.

INCUNABLES IN THE COOL - The section collects in digital format more than 1600 incunabula belonging to about 70 Italian and foreign libraries, for more than 200,000 images, freely available online and accompanied by technical and management metadata. The project, conceived and directed by Amedeo Quondam, the first in Italy in terms of size and systematicity, was created by the Department of Italian Studies and Entertainment in collaboration with the Central Institute for the Single Catalog, approved by the General Directorate for books and cultural institutes and funded by the European Library of Information and Culture of Milan.
