Alice's dream was to be a performer and write comedy, but another dream was realised when she started volunteering at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in 2011, while going to University. From then on, Alice was captivated by [https://www.keeperexchange.org/jobs-listing animal care] and worked to take that path instead. Alice began her [https://www.keeperexchange.org/get-involved Zookeeping journey] in 2014 at ZSL London [https://www.rhinokeeperassociation.org/professional-development Zoo] where she worked on 3 different animal departments. In 2015, she left the [https://biaza.org.uk/news/detail/blog-trials-of-a-keeper-educational-exchange-programme Zoo] life to manage a [https://biaza.org.uk/news/detail/blog-trials-of-a-keeper-educational-exchange-programme Children's Farm] in North London but after a few years, decide to go back to exotic animals, moving to Costa Rica for 7 months to study Toucans and assist in Sloth research. When she returned to England, [https://opensourcebridge.science/wiki/User:SavannahBartlett zookeeper] she made her way back to Zookeeping, and became a [https://www.linkedin.com/posts/keeper-educational-exchange-programme_keep-placement-success-holly-from-sealife-activity-7271609694186573824-iVSq Carnivore Keeper] at Shepreth Wildlife Park, where she remained for nearly 5 years. During this time, she established the Keeper Educational Exchange Programme (or KEEP), a [https://www.keeperexchange.org/about-us-2 not-for-profit organisation] that enables Zookeepers from across the UK and beyond to gain knowledge from each other through [https://www.rhinokeeperassociation.org/professional-development spending] time at other collections. She has presented on the programme at the ABWAK Symposium and the BIAZA Annual Conference and the organisation is honoured to be BIAZA Endorsed and sponsored by Birdworld, in Surrey. In 2023, searching for a creative outlet, Alice launched the animal-comedy podcast: "Asshole Animals with Alice", that examines animal behaviour in a humorous fashion, with the help of experts across the world.
